TSE, producer and developer of solar energy in France and Le Groupement Les Mousquetaires, a major player in large-scale distribution in France, announce the signing of the 2nd largest French solar electricity supply contract, for approximately 95 MWp of solar energy over a period of 15 years.
This electricity will be produced on two TSE sites, one power plant in Meuse for 77MWc and the other in the North with an installed capacity of 18MWc. With a total power of around 95MWp, the two power plants will allow an annual production of around 95 GWh, i.e. the equivalent of the consumption of a hundred Mousquetaires points of sale. The purchase contract will take effect on January 1, 2027. It is one of the largest CPPA signed so far in France.
This electricity will be used to supply the Group's agri-food production plants. This contract testifies to the commitment of Les Mousquetaires to the energy transition. It makes it possible to secure renewable electricity volumes in the long term, but also to avoid the estimated emission of nearly 40,000 tons of CO2.
“We are proud to support the Les Mousquetaires Group in its energy transition and in its objective of securing energy costs. This partnership is important, it is the 2nd largest French solar CPPA. It demonstrates both our know-how and the ambition of Les Mousquetaires, our common desire to decarbonize and to take concrete action for the climate.” specifies Mathieu Debonnet, president of TSE.
“The Les Mousquetaires Group is leading a global energy transition based on improving the energy performance of its factories and points of sale but also on controlling operating costs and increasing the proportion of self-consumption in its supply. This contract is an important step in CPPA's contracting strategy, which is intended to be continued on other production profiles.” explains Bruno Breyne, Mousquetaires company manager in charge of the Energy Department of the Les Mousquetaires Group.
