Noriap and TSE: a win-win partnership to develop agrivoltaic projects
The agricultural cooperative Noriap and TSE, a reference in agrivoltaics in France, are joining forces to develop agrivoltaics projects in Hauts-de-France and Seine-Maritime. Seven areas have been identified on the cooperative's territory.
A partnership to support farmers
Noriap and TSE, an independent French solar energy producer, have joined forces to support the development of agrivoltaic projects on the cooperative's territory. As part of this collaboration, the Noriap Board of Directors has chosen to promote to members the installation of shade houses for cultivation and breeding on the territory. TSE has identified seven areas of the cooperative where it is possible to inject electricity via source stations.
“We are really very happy with this partnership, thus marking our commitment to demanding agrivoltaics that are profitable for all parties, and first and foremost the agricultural world. By combining our expertise in solar energy with Noriap's commitment to quality, efficient and sustainable agriculture, our ambition is to support farmers in their agroecological transition while contributing to the production of renewable energy.”, insisted Rayan Balhawan, North Regional Director at TSE.

Green energies: a new challenge for Noriap
“Agriculture in our regions already had an energy vocation, and we wanted to invest in green energy. To become a producer, our choice focused in particular on agrivoltaics.”, explains Damien François, CEO of the Noriap Group. And to remember that “In its cooperative statutes, Noriap is an agglomeration of collective interest. The strength of our group and the choice of our partner TSE — a French company that knows the agricultural world and the cooperative model — will give us an advantage to continue to be the best partner in agriculture.”
Agrivoltaics, a winning synergy
Agrivoltaics, the production of solar energy on plots combined with agricultural production, is a solution to help farmers fight against climate hazards while optimizing their income and their exploitation. Thanks to the rotating solar panels located at a height and generating rotating shade on the plot, the shades protect crops and improve animal well-being while producing green energy, thus promoting sustainable agriculture and the preservation of water resources.
